Sometimes, a claim feels familiar—intuitively simple, even predictable. reads so close to day-to-day tech that it feels like a walk in the park. That’s exactly how this project began.

A client came to us to invalidate a patent related to secure transactions on portable devices. On first reading, the claim seemed like something every digital wallet or UPI payment app already does.

The assumption? "Should be easy to invalidate — system art or NPL is likely the best bet."

And yet, the search didn’t go as planned.
